This is the second time I have photographed this darling family from Fulham, SW London. The first photoshoot was for their older son Wilhelm's one year old photos (check out his gorgeous Richmond Park session on my blog), and this family portrait session was for his little baby brother, 3 month old Emmerich, just before his christening. Isn't he just a mini-me of his dad?!

Fulham baby photography

3 month old babies are of course very different from newborns and present different challenges to the newborn photographer! They are often very wriggly and are unlikely to stay sleeping for those "sleepy' baby poses; however, they have much more personality and such great eye contact at this age. It was lovely to capture baby Emmerich's massive blue eyes and some cheeky smiles! My style is very relaxed with a mix of baby lifestyle photos and some gently posed family portraits, where I will suggest the best place to stand and how to position your body. This is simply because I want you to look your very best and I know how the light falls gently across your face and forms sparkling catchlights in your eyes, in a way that you cannot see for yourself.

These family portraits were all taken at their family home in Fulham, South West London using just natural light in their spare bedroom on a cloudy day! There is nothing prettier (or more flattering!) than simple window light. Here's a few of my favourite baby photos from their session:
