It's early September and the heat of summer is starting to fade, making way for some beautiful golden evening light for family and children's photography. These portraits were all taken in the grounds of Chiswick House in West London which is a favourite location, especially with some late blooming roses and pretty flowers still in the gardens!
Children's birthday photography
Little Rhea and her family were on holiday in London (escaping the worst of the summer heat in Dubai) and staying in South Kensington for their trip. Rhea was celebrating her second birthday on the day of our session which made the portraits a wonderful record of that milestone age. She was dressed impeccably in a sweet cream tutu dress; cream is a great choice for photo shoots as it photographs so well in outdoor locations. We also incorporated some cute props as you will in the portraits below! Children this age are such busy bees and rarely stop still for a second - let alone to be photographed! - but gorgeous portraits can still be captured regardless of how fast moving they are!
Family portrait photographer
The gardens of Chiswick House are a wonderful spot for family portraits; they are usually fairly peaceful and quiet (away from the children's playground of course!) and they have a lovely mix of open grass dotted with Cyprus trees around the house itself, as well as beautiful flowers in the gardens around the conservatory. It has fast become my go-to location for family photography in Chiswick and West London. The evening of this family session was particularly tranquil away from the bustle of busy London and the golden light and plane trees made it feel almost Mediterranean!
