There may have been a heatwave in London when these were taken, but the light has been absolutely beautiful. It's so luminous late in the day when it starts to warm and soften.
Notting Hill family photography
These portraits were all taken in the family's communal garden at their home in Ladbroke Grove, West London. It was so convenient for a photoshoot including a 3 week old baby and 2 year old toddler (although of course little Jackie had to be torn away from her favourite Peppa Pig)! I love lifestyle family photography like this, which is so natural and full of life. The family are Scandinavian so these portraits will be treasured by the grandparents back home who have not yet met the newest arrival!
London toddler photography
Photographing toddlers is probably the most challenging of all my portrait sessions - but also the most rewarding! Children this age have such strong-willed little personalities, but it is amazing to capture those, and their faces lit up by something intriguing. It only takes a millisecond of that precious expression for me to catch it!
