Family photoshoot in Regent’s Park
I have started to love doing family photoshoots in Regent’s Park; it suits many of my North London clients (especially those in St John’s Wood, or Belsize Park), as well as appealing to those families visiting London on vacation. It has a lovely mix of trees, rose gardens and an ornamental lake, with a sweet little bridge that kids adore playing on. Water always seems so exciting to them, and we mucked about pretending to throw Elliot in! This was my third shoot with this charming French/Swiss family - last year we were doing an indoor family photoshoot with the snow falling heavily outside. It’s amazing how much little Elliot has grown in the last 12 months; he is such a cheeky 3 year old now, with bags of personality!
Autumn family portraits
It seems like only yesterday it was the middle of summer, but suddenly autumn is upon us, and with it plenty of opportunities for family photos! The trees are really special at this time of year, with all the golden and red colours and even some frost around on particularly cold days. It is a fleeting time, that never seems to last for long before the leaves are all gone, but in some ways it is my favourite season for photography. I have to confess it is nice being able to start a little later in the morning too!
Professional family photography
My clients tend to book shoots in November for Christmas presents, as well as portraits they can use for their family Christmas cards (which is becoming more and more popular). It is a really busy time! I love producing beautiful fine art prints for parents to give as gifts to grandparents - professionally done prints really are exquisite and completely different to those sort of prints available to consumers. Albums make a wonderful gift too! Here’s some of my favourite portraits from this shoot.
