Spring seems to have finally arrived! We've had such gorgeous weather these last few March days, with very soft and hazy sun late into the afternoon, which is absolutely perfect for my family portrait sessions.

Mummy & Me photos

Meet Izzy, 13 months old and her mummy Jess, in these beautiful mother and daughter portraits in Richmond Park, SW London. These Mummy & Me sessions are one of my favourite types of family portraits; the love and bond between mother and child is just so beautiful to photograph. You can see that connection so clearly in the photos below and that’s what these portraits are all about.

Birthday photoshoots for 1 year olds!

One year old is such a huge milestone - for parents more than anything! - and it’s so lovely to celebrate that first birthday with some individual children's portraits, as well as some family photos. One year old toddlers are just wonderful to photograph, being fascinated by the world around them and they have such adorable expressions! Izzy was standing - with help! - but not quite walking yet, and was content to sit on one of my vintage crates whilst she examined the long grasses. I love her hair backlit by the golden sun!

Family photos - my style

As always with my family photoshoots, we explore the area and spend a little while in different spots - in front of the prettiest flowers and in the most magical light. We don’t spend too long in any one area, so as to keep the little ones interested and happy. Here's a few of my favourite photographs from our session.
