Richmond Park is such a gorgeous location for family photography in South West London! This vibrant American family travelled from their home in Chiswick for our photo shoot in the park in late summer. We had the kids dancing to some music, pretending to be lions in the long grass and chasing bubbles through the sunlit meadows. Little Siena, aged 3 loved the photo shoot so much she declared it "the best day ever!" We made sure to take some classic - but full of life - photos of the whole family, as well as plenty of individual portraits of everyone.
Professional family photography - what to wear
At this time of year, the natural tones found outside tend to be muted greens, pastels and soft golden colours. It's a great idea to choose your family's wardrobe with these colours in mind, using neutral or pastel colours which will not not distract the eye from the subject's face or clash with the surroundings. Creams and whites always work well, and I am perfectly happy for you to bring a change of clothing with you to your session.
Printing your family photos
Many of my clients choose to have their family portraits printed professionally, on fine art paper, which is not only beautiful, but gives a razor-sharp finish, with rich, perfectly accurate colours. The paper and inks are also of museum-level quality, so they will still look exactly the same when the kids are grown with families of their own!
