Meet the charming Lamb family; Josh, Laura, two year old Fergus and brand new baby Matilda! The family had recently moved from Fulham, London to the gorgeous Hampshire countryside, where this collection of family portraits were taken. It was lovely to spend an extended period of time with this family to create a beautiful variety of portraits they will treasure in years to come.
Family photography
These photographs were commissioned to celebrate the arrival of baby number two; little Matilda. Essentially it was a lifestyle family portrait session, with some newborn photography too. We started with some classic family portraits in the garden (for the grandparents!) as well as some candid moments where Fergus showed me his tennis skills, before a little walk in the nearby barley fields with the family dogs. After that it was time for Fergus to have a well-earned nap, whilst Matilda took her turn in the spotlight.
Newborn baby photography
Baby Matilda is 14 days old in these photographs, which is the perfect age for newborn portraits. That said, I particularly love the portraits of mother and baby, taken in the beautiful natural light of their master bedroom. My style of baby photography is very modern and natural, with minimal props and posing, to create simple, timeless newborn portraits.
Family photography beyond London
Whilst I am primarily a London based family photographer, I am more than happy to travel further afield and it was such a pleasure to escape to the country for the day for this session!
