May was such a busy month for pregnancy photography, with this sweet couple being one of many photoshoots! My bump sessions are an extension of my style of portrait photography; which is always very natural and relaxed in soft, flattering sunshine, but with a gentle focus on the baby bump. It's lovely to include the partner for some of the photographs as well, as we did here, with Steffan proving a master at lots of natural affection! We were really lucky with a lovely sunny morning in West London, although sunrise in May is so early (around 5am) that we were up bright and early for our shoot, which makes all the difference with the light. This particular shoot started at 8am, although one of the benefits to bump photoshoots at that time of day is that we had the gardens around Chiswick House virtually to ourselves!
